PRESS: Tinkoff Mobile wants to create retail chain in malls
MOSCOW, Apr 11 (PRIME) -- Tinkoff Mobile, a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) of Russia’s Tinkoff Bank, will create a retail chain and 11 stores have been already opened in trading centers of Moscow and St. Petersburg, business daily Vedomosti reported on Wednesday, citing the operator’s General Director Georgy Chesakov.
The company will open sales outlets in big malls in 65 regions, which are covered by networks of mobile operator T2 RTK Holding, working under the Tele2 brand, whose infrastructure is used by Tinkoff Mobile, Chesakov said.
Every outlet will occupy an area of 10 square meters, but parameters will vary depending on conditions in a certain mall. No investment was disclosed.
A person close to a big mobile phone retailer estimated costs of creation of a Tinkoff Mobile outlet at 250,000–300,000 rubles excluding lease.
Tinkoff Bank will invest in its MVNO up to 1 billion rubles in 2017–2019.
